Culverstone Green Primary School Uniform

Please find below an outline of what must be worn as part of the school uniform at Culverstone Green Primary School. There are some items which require school branding and others that will not or is optional. This is clearly stated in the list below.

There are various routes that can be taken by families in ensuring that your child attends school with the correct uniform ready to learn.

Alternatively, you may wish to purchase the garments directly from a store of your choice and add the school branding on where required and/ or optional. The school sells embroidered school badges that can be iron or stitched onto a garment of your choice that meets the uniform need as stated below. Costs of badges vary, starting at £1.75.

Finally, the Culverstone Green Primary School PTA regularly run preloved stalls throughout the year where you will have the option of purchasing pre loved items depending on availability.

If attending Culverstone Green Primary School, it is required that pupils must wear:

• Branded Maroon (not grey) sweatshirt / jumper / cardigan- Branded is required which can be satisfied using a patch bought through the school, through the Mapac website or the preloved stalls dependant on availability.
• White polo shirt- Branded is optional and available via the Mapac website or preloved dependant on availability.
• Maroon Infant book bag/ backpack for Reception and KS1 pupils- Branded is optional and available via the Mapac website or preloved dependant on availability.
• Maroon Junior backpack with logo for KS2 pupils- Branded is optional and available via the Mapac website or preloved dependant on availability.
• Grey skirt / trousers / pinafore dress- Plain and not branded.
• White or grey socks- Plain and not branded.
• Grey or black tights- Plain and not branded.
• Black shoes / trainers – Plain and not branded. Trainers must have no markings and the soles must be black. Boots are not allowed.
• Bottle for water

School Uniform options for warmer months:

• Sun Hat for playtime and outdoor learning- This is required
• Red checked /gingham school dresses/playsuits or grey school shorts
• Black or white sandals with socks (no slingbacks)
• roll-on sun stick would be helpful for re-applying sun lotion where necessary

The school PE Kit must consist of:

• Black/grey/navy tracksuit- Plain and not branded.
• Black shorts- Optional during warmer months. Plain and not branded.
• T-shirt in house colour- Plain coloured with no branding/ school branding optional
• Trainers (with Velcro)

Jewellery

Jewellery is not permitted except a watch and one small pair of stud earrings which must be covered for PE.

Religious and/or cultural based jewellery may be worn if safe to do so but will need removed or covered for PE.

Hair Styles

Long hair must be tied back. Hair adornments must be small and plain.

Haircuts should not have patterns, lines, or shapes.

No nail varnish or false nails.
